Care with Haven

Come as you are. You are seen and accepted. I am here to help you meet your feeding goals no matter what that entails! I help families find practical solutions to feeding issues. My clients leave my care armed with knowledge, confidence, new skills, and ongoing encouragement and support.

I specialize in infants under 6 months, suspected tongue & lip ties, low milk supply, supplementation support, latch discomfort, and bringing baby back to breast after bottle or nipple shield use.

At our visits you can expect a discussion of personal history and symptoms, a breastfeeding exam, oral and physical exam of baby, education, and practicing of techniques.

All clients receive a detailed care plan, and text / call support after our visit.

Visits can also be made during pregnancy for education purposes.

  • Kaylen was the saving grace to nursing my twin girls after being released from the NICU. She helped me get them assessed for tongue and lip ties and helped me navigate the pre and post care. Kaylen's deep care for me postpartum was so stabilizing during such a hard period of life. I'll forever be grateful for her.

  • Kaylen visited us in the hospital and at home to provide lactation support and through tips and encouragement we were able to switch from bottle feeding to nursing at 6 weeks old. She is a true professional and feels like family.

  • Kaylen saved my breastfeeding journey, and I know without a doubt that it's because of her that I am STILL nursing my daughter. She was so so thorough, meeting with me in person as often as I needed, and texting when I needed help or encouragement.

  • Kaylen supported our breastfeeding journey through a lip and tongue tie (and revision), reflux, oversupply, and craniosacral issues. She was comforting, a listening ear often and more than helpful. She never made me question my instincts as a mother. She gave us all the resources and support we needed to be successful. We love Kaylen and feel so grateful for her

Tethered Oral Tissue

Care for tongue, lip, and buccal ties

Oral function affects breastfeeding and so many other functions in the bodies of our babies. When ties and oral dysfunction are missed, or the parent’s intuition is ignored we lose an opportunity to impact this child for a lifetime.

At Haven, I perform in-depth oral function assessments to determine what baby is doing well and what they’re struggling with. I take into account all of your symptoms and watch how baby is feeding. This gives me a well-rounded picture and helps me put together a custom care plan for you. Including referrals to trusted revision providers in the area.

After revision I meet with clients once a week for as long as needed to help you with stretches and exercises for optimal oral function, healing, and symptom reduction.

I’m here to help you if you’re concerned with your baby’s oral function!
